About The Position

The Room Service Server is responsible for receiving, preparing, and delivering guest food and beverage orders to guestrooms in an attentive, courteous, and efficient manner. The role provides guests with a timely, accurate, and friendly dining experience in the comfort of their rooms, while maintaining food presentation and temperature standards and following food safety and sanitation guidelines.

The server takes orders by phone or in person, enters them into the point-of-sale system, and communicates them to kitchen staff. The role also involves presenting and delivering orders, setting up tables and chairs in guestrooms as needed, responding to guest needs and concerns, and cleaning and sanitizing guestrooms and the work area after service. Additional duties include stocking supplies, maintaining inventory, attending team meetings and training sessions, and performing other duties as assigned. Duties and responsibilities may change or be added at any time.

Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry trays of food and beverages.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage service standards.

Responsibilities

• Accurately take and process food and beverage orders from guests by phone or in person.
• Enter orders into the point-of-sale system and communicate them to kitchen staff.
• Prepare and deliver food and beverage orders to guestrooms in a timely manner.
• Present orders professionally and ensure proper food presentation and temperature.
• Set up tables and chairs in guestrooms as needed.
• Interact with guests in a friendly and courteous manner, address needs and concerns, and anticipate guest needs.
• Resolve guest issues and complaints in a timely and effective manner.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace and follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Clean and sanitize guestrooms after service.
• Assist with stocking supplies and maintaining inventory.
• Participate in team meetings and training sessions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
