About The Position
The Gate Access Control Security Officer works vehicle gate access control at a client site. The officer is on call to cover open shifts and does not have a set schedule. Hours vary based on need, from 16 to 40 hours per week, covering second and third shifts. The role requires a flexible schedule and may involve walking up to 2 miles per shift. The position helps maintain a safe and secure environment by actively monitoring premises and patrolling locations. Officers observe and report activities and incidents, preserve order, and enforce site-related regulations and directives for personnel, visitors, and the area. They may also provide customer service and information to client employees and customers.
Requirements
- More than 2 years of security experience.
- Full and valid driver's license.
- Flexible schedule and availability to cover second and third shifts; schedule is not set and hours vary from 16 to 40 per week based on need.
- Good computer skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Pass a drug screen and background check.
- Meet and continue to meet applicable state, county, and municipal licensing requirements for Security Officers/Guards.
Responsibilities
- Operate vehicle gate access control.
- Cover open shifts as needed while on call.
- Observe and report activities and incidents at the assigned client site.
- Monitor and patrol premises to help maintain a safe and secure environment.
- Preserve order and enforce client-site regulations and directives relating to personnel, visitors, and the area.
- Provide customer service and information to client employees and customers.
