About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Guard for a logistics and distribution location in Minooka, Illinois. The role involves monitoring assigned areas and conducting routine patrols to deter incidents, while maintaining a visible presence and providing strong communication and customer service. The position follows a daytime schedule on Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The pay rate is $17.50 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and warehouse personnel while following site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random patrols of the distribution facility, loading docks, trailer yards, parking areas, access points, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor site access by verifying credentials, directing authorized visitors and delivery personnel, and documenting entries and exits according to site procedures.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel as required.
Complete accurate reports, patrol logs, and other documentation relating to daily activities, observations, and incidents.
