About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer for screening operations at a logistics and distribution location in Carol Stream, Illinois. The role helps safeguard the site by screening people and materials, monitoring assigned areas, and reporting security concerns. The Security Officer provides customer-focused assistance to employees, visitors, and delivery personnel while helping maintain smooth operations and deter incidents. The position pays $19.04 per hour. Scheduled shifts are Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, and Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21 years old.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any licensing requirements imposed by applicable state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver’s license only if applying for a driving position.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and delivery personnel while following site-specific security procedures and access requirements.
Screen personnel, visitors, packages, and/or vehicles entering designated areas according to established procedures.
Monitor access points, verify credentials and shipping-related documentation as assigned, and report unauthorized or suspicious activity.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations while following emergency response protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols of designated areas, loading zones, trailer yards, and the perimeter; document observations and complete required reports.
