About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed security guard for a logistics and distribution location in Bridgeport, Pennsylvania. The role provides a designated site and weekly anchor shift with a six-month commitment. Additional shifts may be claimed through the company scheduling platform, offering the opportunity to increase hours up to 40 per week while retaining the option to scale back. The pay rate is $17.92 per hour. The listed shift is Sunday, 11:00 PM–7:00 AM.

The position provides customer service while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, patrols, and appropriate emergency response activities. Candidates must meet the minimum age and education requirements and are subject to background investigation and drug screening as permitted by law. Licensing may be required under applicable state or local regulations.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any licensing requirements applicable under state and/or local laws and regulations, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service at a logistics and distribution location while following security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Carry out emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond calmly and effectively to incidents, access concerns, package or cargo irregularities, and critical situations.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of loading areas, parking areas, entrances, trailers, docks, and the business perimeter.
• Monitor access points and observe personnel, visitor, and vehicle activity according to site-specific procedures.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or emergency responders.
