About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Guard for a food and beverage location in Champaign, Illinois. The role supports site security and access control by managing entry points, verifying credentials, monitoring access activity, and helping provide a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. The officer provides customer service, communicates clearly, uses computer or tablet systems, and responds to security-related concerns.

The scheduled shifts are Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM. The pay rate is $18.10 per hour. Applicants must meet the age and education requirements and are subject to background investigation and drug screening, as applicable. Licensing requirements may apply under state or local law.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21 years old.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply under state and/or local laws and regulations.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and delivery personnel while following site-specific access-control procedures and security policies.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized credentials, issue visitor passes as directed, and maintain accurate access-related logs.
• Screen and direct vendors, contractors, and delivery drivers according to location procedures, coordinating with receiving and site contacts.
• Respond calmly to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations while following established emergency response procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter, and report observations.
