About The Position

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of work experience in power generation service or industrial mechanical-electrical troubleshooting and repairs.
• Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting capabilities, including strong AC/DC power skills.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics.
• Computer literacy.
• Good oral, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to learn, work independently, use common sense and good judgment, and value safety.
• Good driving record.
• Good disciplinary record, with no disciplines issued in the prior 12 months.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to provide intensity and commitment in daily activities and work toward a personal “Best in Class” standard.
• Ability to execute decisions with speed and conviction.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance and repairs on backup power generation equipment.
• Troubleshoot controls, switchgear, batteries, battery chargers, heaters, motors, pumps, contactors, relays, generator components, and controls.
• Provide service and customer support during field visits or dispatches.
• Manage on-site installation, repair, maintenance, and testing tasks.
• Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine appropriate solutions.
• Produce timely and detailed service and expense reports.
• Operate a vehicle safely and use field automated systems.
• Understand customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations.
• Build positive relationships with customers.
• Maintain organized files and make them accessible to others inside and outside the department.
• Foster a safe working environment and demonstrate commitment to outstanding customer service.
