About The Position

Responsible for all general maintenance for all properties owned by Mountaineer Park, Inc. (i.e., Barn area, Hotel, Track side, Casino, HARV and outside).

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Polite and present a neat appearance at all times.
  • Ability to read and write to ensure proper and accurate report completion.
  • Ability to work with others as a team in an efficient manner.
  • Ability to use all necessary tools and equipment for the task.
  • Ability to recognize/remedy safety concerns and utilize all personal protective equipment as required.
  • Time management & priority setting skills.
  • Troubleshooting & problem solving skills.
  • Ability to do general hotel room and building maintenance.
  • Knowledge on how to operate scissor lifts, bucket truck, forklift, ladders, hand/power tools, etc.
  • Knowledge of pool chemicals and pool maintenance.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license and the ability to be covered under Mountaineer Casino Insurance for driving our vehicles.
  • Ability to pass a background investigation and obtain and maintain a WV Racing License.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Ability to trouble shoot and resolve issues.

Responsibilities

  • Inspections and general maintenance of all buildings on the property.
  • Replacing light bulbs, cleaning vents, casino fixtures, door knobs, wall moldings, TV’s and other items as assigned.
  • Maintaining and monitoring all lift stations and grease traps.
  • Answer all calls in a timely and professional manner.
  • Monitor pool and fountain water chemistry and maintain as necessary.
  • Inspect hotel rooms and perform general maintenance as necessary to ensure they are ready for occupancy.
  • Snow and ice removal around property.
  • Sweeping and cleaning as needed.
  • Keep the store room organization and let management know when supplies run low.
  • Knowledge of pool chemicals and pool maintenance.
  • Knowledge of life safety equipment and systems.
  • Knowledge of OSHA required standards.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
