About The Position

Requirements

• At least 6 years of underwriting and portfolio management experience at a regional commercial bank or larger institution.
• Middle Market or Mid-Corporate experience in commercial and industrial (C&I) banking.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Formal credit training.
• Work in the office at least 4 days per week.

• Ability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of complex credits with limited supervisory intervention and periodic oversight.
• Demonstrate expert knowledge of portfolio clients and credits when working with peers, relationship managers, team leaders, and senior managers across departments.
• Underwrite credit and administer credit and risk in accordance with credit policies and requirements, including financial analysis and modeling, risk evaluation, portfolio maintenance, and client support.
• Structure, underwrite, and document new business, renewals, and modifications as the credit expert within the first line of defense.
• Oversee the assigned portfolio, anticipate potential credit problems, and develop solutions while managing competing demands and priorities.
• Meet deadlines and schedules needed to maintain portfolio compliance with credit and risk policies.
• Provide client management support, maintain regular direct client interaction, and resolve complex credit monitoring and administration issues with clients.
• Stay current on industry and market information relevant to assigned markets and customers, and share insights and learnings with relationship managers and portfolio managers.
