About The Position
This position is responsible for leading and directing the Tyson Transportation fleet to achieve business and financial objectives. Responsibilities include: Driver management. On time service management. Asset utilization. Driver safety and compliance. Load assignment and selection. Trailer pool plan execution. Driver expense management. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor s degree preferred
- 3 plus years Tyson transportation experience preferred
- Basic computer skills
- Microsoft Office is a plus
- Tyson Business Computer Systems to include Sale Inventory SAP Transportation and Warehousing Systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- This position acts as a team leader providing functional supervision for other members of the work unit such as assigning work and training lower-level positions
- 1-5 domestic trips per year
