About The Position

Sevita is hiring a Transportation Supervisor for its St. Belvi (Haitian) Adult Day Health Center in Dorchester, Massachusetts. The role oversees daily transportation operations and leads a team of drivers, ensuring participants—older adults and individuals with disabilities—have safe, reliable transportation and remain connected to their community. The supervisor also provides transportation coverage when needed and collaborates with center staff to support daily operations.

Requirements

Valid Massachusetts driver's license with a clean driving record.
High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 3 years of driving experience.
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Supervisory experience.
Experience supporting older adults or individuals with disabilities.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily transportation operations, driver performance, scheduling, and route planning.
Supervise, train, and support drivers to ensure safe, reliable participant transportation.
Manage department budgets, fuel expenses, vendor coordination, and vehicle maintenance.
Ensure DOT compliance, including licensing, registrations, inspections, and safety requirements.
Maintain a clean, safe, and properly functioning vehicle fleet.
Coordinate participant transportation for daily routes, appointments, and community outings.
Provide transportation coverage when needed and collaborate with center staff to support daily operations.
