About The Position

Requirements

• Proven proficiency in operating computerized alignment machines and interpreting "before and after" printouts.
• Strong understanding of caster, camber, and toe specifications and how they affect vehicle handling and tire wear patterns.
• Experience working with scan tools to perform steering angle sensor (SAS) resets and other electronic calibrations related to the alignment process.
• Ability to maintain high productivity in a fast-paced environment while maintaining "right-first-time" quality standards.
• Positive attitude and a desire to serve guest
• 3+ years of experience as an automotive technician/mechanic
• Capable of diagnosing and repairing all makes/models of vehicles
• Meet or exceed hourly goals
• Aptitude for learning additional skills and processes
• Professional appearance and strong communication
• A desire for long-term career development
• Occasionally lift and/or move over 100 pounds
• Be able to work with tools on vehicles lifted above their head
• Work in tight spaces as dictated by the vehicle’s needed repair
• Have the needed dexterity in order to efficiently use hand tools
• Walk/stand for the majority of their workday
• Drive manual transmissions vehicles
• Efficiently navigate a computer

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality digital wheel alignments using state-of-the-art Hunter (or equivalent) equipment to ensure vehicle safety and tire longevity.
• Conduct deep-dive inspections of steering and suspension components, including ball joints, tie rods, struts, and bushings, to identify wear or damage.
• Identify vehicles equipped with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and ensure steering angle sensors are properly reset following alignment procedures.
• Provide clear, detailed explanations of alignment readings to Service Advisors to help them explain the "why" behind the repair to our guests.
• Use their knowledge & skills to diagnose and fix vehicles for our guests
• Continuously build experience as an automotive mechanic across a wide range of domestic and foreign vehicles
• Complete full, accurate, and honest courtesy vehicle inspections
• Work as part of a team to troubleshoot guest concerns quickly and effectively
• Follow and promote our high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization
• Work closely with the service department and effectively communicate concerns
