About The Position

GHD is seeking a Talent Acquisition Business Partner to join their team, based in either their Montreal or Quebec City offices. This role involves leading recruitment for an assigned portfolio of roles, collaborating closely with hiring managers to develop effective hiring strategies, clarify talent needs, and support informed hiring decisions. The position requires providing practical market insights, sound judgment, and a consultative approach to attract and assess talent aligned with business requirements. The successful candidate will be part of a globally connected Talent Acquisition team focused on delivering consistent, high-quality hiring outcomes.

Requirements

  • Ability to attract, assess, and recommend talent with sound judgement and a business-focused approach.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build credibility and influence hiring decisions.
  • Clear communication skills and confidence providing practical advice and recommendations.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently across a varied portfolio.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to balance pace, quality, and stakeholder expectations.
  • A client-focused approach and commitment to a positive hiring experience.
  • Adaptability in a changing environment.
  • Understanding of talent markets and the ability to align hiring approaches to business needs and priorities.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in talent acquisition, ideally in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder professional services environment.
  • Experience partnering with hiring managers on role scoping, candidate assessment, and hiring decisions.
  • Familiarity with talent acquisition systems, sourcing tools, talent market research, and platforms such as Oracle Cloud Recruiter and LinkedIn Recruiter.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written, in French and English.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with hiring managers to clarify role requirements, align on hiring approach, and develop effective role profiles and candidate briefs.
  • Lead end-to-end recruitment activity across your portfolio, including sourcing, screening, shortlisting, assessment, and offer execution.
  • Build and maintain candidate pipelines through multiple sourcing channels to meet current and future hiring needs.
  • Provide practical advice, market insight, and candidate recommendations to support informed hiring decisions and realistic expectations.
  • Guide hiring managers on recruitment processes, standards, and best practices to support consistent, high-quality hiring outcomes.
  • Coordinate interviews and assessments, gather feedback, and help maintain momentum and alignment through the hiring process.
  • Support recruitment campaigns and targeted hiring initiatives aligned with employer brand and business priorities.
  • Build strong understanding of business priorities to align talent acquisition activity with workforce needs and hiring plans.
  • Identify opportunities to improve recruitment processes, candidate experience, and hiring effectiveness within the portfolio you support.
  • Champion inclusive hiring practices and support diverse candidate slates.
