About The Position

Notre Dame du Lac Assisted Living in Worcester, MA is seeking a Director of Resident Care - RN. This role adheres to NDHC's mission and values, directing the delivery of all resident care while maintaining compliance with state and federal guidelines. Responsibilities include the supervision and development of department employees, care management, serving as a member of the organization's management team, and the development of strategic planning and quality assurance initiatives. This role directly supervises, motivates, and encourages all resident care staff. An unwavering focus on customer service and resident and family relations are critical. The Director will lead by example with unwavering customer service demonstrated by healthy and thriving resident and family relationships.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (RN), BS preferred
  • Current/Nursing license in the state of Massachusetts
  • A minimum of five years of clinical experience, working with memory care and assisted living residents.
  • Ability to work well with other professionals and communicate effectively.
  • Proven leadership skills from past employment professional organizations.
  • Knowledge/ Understanding of EOEA regulations required.
  • Knowledge of professional nursing theory and practice needed to give and evaluate resident care.
  • Knowledge of organizational policies, regulations, and procedures to administer resident care.
  • Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments to administer resident care.
  • Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment.
  • Skill in applying and modifying the principles, methods, and techniques of professional nursing to provide on-going resident care.
  • Skill in preparing and maintaining resident records, writing reports, and responding to correspondence.
  • Skill in developing and maintaining department quality assurance
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with residents, medical staff, and the public.
  • Ability to maintain quality control standards
  • Knowledge of budget process
  • Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations
  • Ability to interpret, adapt, and apply guidelines and procedures
  • Ability to communicate clearly (both verbally and in writing) in English
