About The Position

The Resident Care Director organizes and directs the wellness team by establishing objectives, standards, and the organizational structure needed to achieve them. The position ensures nursing care meets local, state, and federal agency regulations, as well as facility standards. The director develops resident-centered wellness programs, supervises staff, coordinates care with healthcare professionals, and supports communication among residents, families, and healthcare providers.

Requirements

RN license required in Rhode Island.
At least 5 years of supervision experience in the medical field.
Strong assessment, communication, and organizational skills.
Knowledge of GAFC requirements, D.P.H. regulations, and Department of Elder Affairs standards.

Nice To Haves

BSN preferred.
Assisted living, long-term care, and geriatric nursing care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement comprehensive wellness programs tailored to residents' needs.
Supervise and manage staff, ensuring adherence to care plans and regulatory requirements.
Maintain accurate medical records and ensure HIPAA compliance.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to assess resident needs and adjust care plans.
Manage budgets for wellness programs and resources.
Conduct regular staff training on best practices in home care and assisted living.
Monitor residents' overall health and well-being and provide support as needed.
Facilitate communication among residents, families, and healthcare providers to support holistic care.
Ensure nursing care meets applicable local, state, and federal regulations and facility standards.
