About The Position

We are committed to delivering the highest standards of quality and service in the industry. We are currently seeking dependable, safety-focused Laborer to join our team at our Cedar Lake location.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education.
- Physical ability to climb, bend, and stoop as needed for daily tasks.
- Clean driving record that meets insurability standards.
- Proficiency in reading and writing English with legible handwriting.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and a commitment to workplace safety.
- Requirement: must provide own safety-approved boots.
Nice To Haves
- Experience operating a skid steer or forklift is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Execute general labor tasks, including site maintenance (sweeping, shoveling, mowing) and material handling.
- Strictly adhere to all Smith Ready Mix, Inc and OSHA safety regulations, ensuring consistent use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a high standard of safety excellence in all operations.
- Complete additional operational tasks as directed by management.
