About The Position
Insight Medical Imaging is seeking Medical Receptionists to join the team in their Cardiac Lab department at the Meadowlark clinic. These are permanent, full-time positions. Insight Medical Imaging is a leading provider of diagnostic imaging services with over 650 employees and 20 locations, providing services in Edmonton and surrounding regions, as well as in Fort McMurray. The company emphasizes meaningful connections with patients, physicians, and employees, aiming to make patients comfortable, work collaboratively with physicians for timely diagnoses, and foster a professional development-encouraging environment for employees.
Requirements
- Grade 12 graduate.
- Computer experience with minimum 50 words per minute
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge and understand of medical terminology are considered an asset
- Medical Office Assistant, Unit Clerk, Medical Transcription program an asset
- Self motivated
- Ability to work in a fast paced/high stress environment
- Personal skills which include attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to interact with patients in a tactful and courteous manner
- Knowledge of office routines, schedules, and protocol
Responsibilities
- Greeting and checking in of all patients
- Documentation of patient information on computer
- Ensures all previous examinations are imported
- Porter and change patients in preparation for exams
- Handle all incoming report and image requests
- Requesting previous exams from outside facilities
- Looking up and importing previous studies prior to arrival of scheduled patients
- Must maintain the utmost in professional confidence of patient information and/or results
- Provide patients with exam preparations
