About The Position

This position serves as the first point of contact for patients and others, greeting them in person at the check-in desk or via telephone. The role involves answering incoming calls professionally, checking patients in and out according to established protocols, scheduling appointments, and registering patients. The position is based in Grand Island, NE. Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent
  • Minimum of one year post-secondary education with coursework in business, medical assistant program or nursing assistant program OR equivalent combination of education/experience in customer service or medical scheduling related capacity (one year of education equals one year of experience)
  • Demonstrated ability to provide a high level of customer service to physicians, patients and other internal/external customers
  • Ability to work professionally with physicians, clinic staff and patients in a confidential manner
  • Demonstrated analytical, prioritization and organizational skills
  • Demonstrate flexibility and dedication to team environment
  • Effective communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in healthcare environment with working knowledge of medical office operations
  • College coursework in business
  • Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel
  • Fluency in Spanish (depending on the position available)
