About The Position

Peraton is seeking a Logistics and Inventory Management Specialist in our Linthicum, MD office in support of our Department of Defense (DoD) customer as part of a highly talented, highly motivated, and high-performing team. This position requires full-time, onsite attendance Monday through Friday in the Baltimore metropolitan area.

Requirements

  • 7 years with AS/AA; 5 years with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA; 0 years with PhD. However, an additional four years of experience can be considered in lieu of a BS/BA degree.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and related software.
  • Knowledge of the Federal Supply System as well as automated and manual supply systems and equipment serviceability standards and criteria.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills, organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience establishing effective partnerships within and outside the organization.
  • Detail oriented, problem solver who works well under pressure.
  • Customer service oriented professional.
  • Active Top Secret security clearance required.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and execute asset-management strategies, policies, and quality practices with minimal supervision, ensuring alignment with the customer’s policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate counts of all products, materials, and supplies across storage locations, ensuring real-time visibility into stock levels.
  • Track requisitions and orders through receipt, leveraging the Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS) for receiving, inventory management, full asset accountability, and proper end-of-life disposal.
  • Work closely with warehouse teams to optimize storage, organize inventory, and maintain efficient material flow.
  • Inspect and verify incoming shipments, document variances, and formally issue items to end users.
  • Communicate with suppliers regarding delivery schedules, shortages, damaged goods, and returns.
  • Measure and improve asset-management processes, identify gaps, and implement corrective actions.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to inventory workflows, storage methods, and tracking systems.
  • Maintain clean, organized, safe, and efficient storage areas to support effective inventory operations.
