About The Position

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to pass a Live Scan DOJ fingerprint background check, TB screening, and basic health screening.
• Valid driver's license with at least five years of driving history, a satisfactory driving record, and use of a vehicle with current registration and insurance.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact positively and constructively with individuals with disabilities, family members, social workers, employers, and others.
• Optimistic attitude and ability to provide regular encouraging verbal feedback.
• Strong computer skills, including MS Office, email, and Internet.
• Ability and willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.

Nice To Haves

• BA/BS in Education, Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, or a related field.
• Prior experience supporting or instructing individuals with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Accompany individuals to work sites, observe their abilities, and identify areas for improvement.
• Provide feedback and assistance to increase productivity and encourage positive work behavior.
• Coach and counsel individuals on workplace issues and concerns, and advocate for them when needed.
• Assist individuals with work-related paperwork, including time cards, time-off requests, tax forms, and benefits enrollment.
• Maintain positive relationships with employers and workplace supervisors, and act as a liaison among them and the individuals served.
• Help develop and implement individualized coaching plans so participants can work more independently, with the goal of self-sufficiency.
• Participate in meetings and discussions about individuals' progress.
• Maintain daily logs and reports.
