About The Position

BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking Employment Specialists/Job Coaches to provide one-on-one support, coaching, and training to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in integrated community work settings. The role helps individuals explore career interests, secure employment, and develop skills to maintain long-term success at work. Job Coaches also work with employers to promote opportunities for people with disabilities and advocate for inclusion and reasonable accommodations. Positions are available in South Charlotte and North Charlotte (Kannapolis area). The role offers flexible scheduling, various shifts, weekly pay, and opportunities to take on additional hours as a Direct Support Professional.

Requirements

• One or more years of experience working with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• At least 18 years of age.
• Flexible availability.

Responsibilities

• Empower individuals to obtain meaningful employment.
• Assist individuals in enhancing job skills and monitor progress through documentation.
• Educate employers about the benefits and opportunities of employing people with disabilities.
• Advocate for workplace inclusion and reasonable accommodations for individuals.
• Support individuals in exploring career interests, securing employment, and developing skills for long-term success at work.
