About The Position

The Employment Specialist/Job Coach supports individuals with disabilities in obtaining and maintaining competitive, integrated employment in the community. The role provides individualized job coaching and guidance, helps clients with job-search activities and workplace readiness, develops connections with community employers, and supports clients at job sites. The specialist collaborates with employers to promote successful placements and retention, tracks client progress, and maintains accurate documentation.

Requirements

• Strong time management, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others succeed.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple clients.
• Valid driver's license and dependable transportation.
• Education and related experience: a Master's degree in a related field plus 1 year of related experience; a Bachelor's degree in a related field plus 2 years of related experience; an Associate's degree (or equivalent credits) in a related field plus 4 years of experience; or a high school diploma and 10 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one job coaching and guidance to clients seeking employment.
• Assist clients with resume building, job applications, and interviews.
• Make employer connections in the community through individualized job development.
• Support clients on job sites by providing hands-on training.
• Help clients develop workplace readiness skills, including communication, time management, and professionalism.
• Collaborate with employers to ensure successful job placements and retention.
• Track client progress and maintain accurate documentation.
