About The Position

BAYADA Home Health Care is hiring Employment Specialists/Job Coaches to provide one-on-one support, coaching, and training to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in integrated community work settings. The role helps individuals explore career interests, secure employment, and build the skills needed for long-term success at work. Job Coaches also work with employers to promote opportunities for people with disabilities and support inclusion and reasonable accommodations. The position serves the Albemarle and Stanly County areas, with efforts to match work opportunities within about 30 minutes of the employee’s home. The posting describes flexible, part-time scheduling with various shifts and pay starting at $18 per hour, paid weekly. Team members may also be able to obtain additional hours by working as a Direct Support Professional.

Requirements

• One or more years of experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Flexible availability.

Responsibilities

• Empower individuals to obtain meaningful employment.
• Provide one-on-one support, coaching, and training to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in integrated community work settings.
• Help individuals explore career interests and secure employment.
• Assist individuals in enhancing job skills and maintaining long-term success at work.
• Monitor progress through documentation.
• Educate employers about the benefits and opportunities of employing people with disabilities.
• Advocate for workplace inclusion and reasonable accommodations for individuals.
• Make a positive impact in the community.
