About The Position
The Employment Specialist/Job Coach supports individuals with disabilities in obtaining and maintaining competitive, integrated employment in the community. The role provides individualized job coaching, employment preparation, job development, and on-site support, while working with employers to help clients succeed and remain employed. The specialist tracks client progress and maintains accurate documentation.
Requirements
- Be a self-starter with strong time management, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Demonstrate patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others succeed.
- Be able to work independently and manage multiple clients.
- Have a valid driver's license and dependable transportation.
- Meet one of the stated education and related-experience combinations: a master's degree in a related field plus 1 year of related experience; a bachelor's degree in a related field plus 2 years of related experience; an associate's degree or equivalent credits in a related field plus 4 years of experience; or a high school diploma plus 10 years of related experience.

Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one job coaching and guidance to clients seeking employment.
- Assist clients with resume building, job applications, and interviews.
- Make employer connections in the community through individualized job development.
- Support clients on job sites by providing hands-on training.
- Help clients develop workplace readiness skills, including communication, time management, and professionalism.
- Collaborate with employers to support successful job placements and retention.
- Track client progress and maintain accurate documentation.
