About The Position

BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking Employment Specialists/Job Coaches to provide one-on-one support, coaching, and training to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in integrated community work settings. The role helps individuals explore career interests, obtain employment, and develop skills for long-term success at work. Job Coaches also support inclusive workplaces and help connect individuals and employers with appropriate guidance and accommodations. The position offers flexible, part-time scheduling with various shifts and starts at $18 per hour, paid weekly. BAYADA aims to match work opportunities within about 30 minutes of team members’ homes. Hiring locations include Albemarle and Stanly County areas. The posting also notes that team members may be able to take on Direct Support Professional work to obtain more hours.

Requirements

One or more years of experience working with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
At least 18 years of age.
Flexible availability.

Responsibilities

Support individuals in obtaining meaningful employment.
Monitor progress and document it while helping individuals enhance job skills.
Educate employers about the benefits and opportunities of employing people with disabilities.
