About The Position

Requirements

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship.
• Daily overtime required and in person, predictable attendance in Houston, TX (if applicable).
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License required.
• Most employment is contingent upon meeting company driving standards, including 3-year U.S. driving history and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) in accordance with Company policy.
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Successfully passes all applicable general pre-employment testing including but not limited to: background check, pre-employment drug screening, pre-employment fit tests, pre-employment aptitude and/or competency assessment(s).
• U.S High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3–4 years of relevant work experience in a related field.
• Ability to maintain a high level of physicality for prolonged periods and working primarily standing.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Interpersonal skills are essential, as working as a team is vital to maintaining an organized warehouse.
• Experience with software such as Microsoft Excel and other company spreadsheet programs.
• Typing and record-keeping skills are necessary to provide accurate information for managers and supervisors regarding warehouse inventory.
• Ability to problem solve quickly and prioritize daily tasks according to their importance.
• A Customer service mentality is beneficial to ensure a positive customer experience by shipping items to a high standard.
• The Inventory Specialist primarily works in a warehouse/shop environment that makes them susceptible to common hazards such as physical strain, moving machinery, loading, unloading, falling objects, slips, trips, and falls.
• Daily required to walk, sit, climb, bend, reach and squat/kneel.
• They will also need to speak clearly and audibly, as well as have the ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and /or other sounds (e.g., building alarms) deriving from in person speech, telephone, or other remote speech.
• Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
• The employee frequently is required to stand; walk, stoop, kneel, sit, climb, crouch and/or crawl.
• The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects up to 49 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 pounds with a team lift.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Nice To Haves

• Experience using a forklift and professional forklift certification is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Organize stock and merchandise within the warehouse by properly unboxing and storing goods in their designated location.
• Maintain accurate records of products that have been stocked and provide management with an accurate representation of all goods shipped and received.
• Verify all incoming shipments to be accurate by comparing the invoice to the order and ensure all goods are in excellent condition.
• Monitor and report any missing or lost inventory to management.
• Properly pack items to be shipped according to company standards to ensure they arrive in excellent condition.
• Organize and sort items on shelves, bins, and overhangs according to company standards.
• Accurately maintain company database including all stock and warehouse items.
• Reliably retrieve items from within the warehouse to be processed and shipped.
• Communicating demand of stocked items to the procurement team.
• May be assigned facilities maintenance duties as needed.
• Performs other related job duties as assigned to assist with successful operations and business continuity.
