About The Position

SierTeK Ltd. is seeking two (2) Instructional Systems Design (ISD) Support Specialists to support an opportunity at Wright Patterson AFB, OH. This position collaborates with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Course Directors, Curriculum Development Managers, production teams, and government stakeholders to design, develop, evaluate, and improve multimedia-based instructional products and training solutions. The successful candidate will apply the ADDIE Instructional Systems Design model to develop effective learning experiences, integrate emerging educational technologies, evaluate course effectiveness, and ensure training products meet USAFSAM educational and operational requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Educational Technology, Instructional Design, Educational Design, Curriculum Development, or a related discipline OR Five (5) years of applied experience in Instructional Systems Design (ISD) techniques and related disciplines.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in at least two of the following areas: Learning Theory & Educational Psychology, Instructional Design Practices, Educational Assessment, Instructional Product Creation.
  • Experience developing training materials by: Identifying learner requirements, Establishing objectives, Selecting instructional strategies, Validating learning products, Evaluating training effectiveness.
  • Experience developing modern educational content using current instructional technologies.
  • Proficiency with tools such as: Adobe Captivate, SCORM course packaging, Multimedia development tools, Simulation technologies, Virtual reality or 3D learning environments.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to independently manage projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to critically analyze problems and develop effective solutions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Zoom, Adobe Acrobat.
  • Must sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) prior to performance.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in Educational Technology, Instructional Design, Educational Design, Curriculum Development, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting military education and training programs.
  • Experience with: Air Force formal training programs, Learning Management Systems (LMS), DoD training environments, Medical education or healthcare training, Multimedia instructional production.
  • Experience collaborating with military SMEs and operational training organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Apply all phases of the ADDIE model: Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate.
  • Collaborate with SMEs, production teams, Course Directors, and Curriculum Development Managers to create effective instructional products.
  • Analyze training requirements and recommend: Instructional platforms, Delivery methods, Media formats, Development tools.
  • Develop training plans and support validation activities to ensure courses meet learning objectives and required proficiency levels.
  • Review, edit, and maintain curriculum materials for accuracy, clarity, grammar, formatting, and instructional effectiveness.
  • Design and develop instructional materials including: Instructor guides, Student materials, Instructional text, Audio scripts, Video scripts, Multimedia products.
  • Support creation of graphics, media projects, simulations, and interactive learning products.
  • Utilize modern instructional technologies including: Adobe Captivate, SCORM-compliant courseware, Virtual learning environments, Simulation technologies, Gaming applications, 3D modeling and virtual reality solutions.
  • Recommend technology solutions to improve learner engagement and training effectiveness.
  • Upload, manage, test, and validate online courseware.
  • Conduct testing of eLearning products and provide comprehensive evaluation reports.
  • Analyze: End-of-course evaluations, Student feedback, Field surveys, Training performance data.
  • Provide written recommendations for improving course effectiveness using ISD principles.
  • Support validation and continuous improvement of USAFSAM training programs.
  • Receive and clarify customer training requests.
  • Coordinate project scope discussions and determine appropriate instructional products.
  • Develop project storyboards and coordinate content reviews.
  • Manage review cycles and obtain stakeholder approval for final course delivery.
  • Provide instructional consultation throughout all phases of multimedia development.
  • Attend meetings, training sessions, and educational planning events as required.
  • Maintain curriculum files, records, and project documentation.
  • Support office continuity activities and instructional program initiatives.
  • Maintain organized project documentation and training resources.
  • Provide technical and educational guidance to USAFSAM departments as needed.
