Incoming Mail Specialist and Security Desk Support - Administrative Assistant II

About The Position
This position provides support for mail operators, security of the North Campus for DPA, and acts as a backup delivery driver when needed. It provides support for infrastructure jobs and performs duties of a sensitive and vital nature for mail services, facility security and secure storage. A summary of the duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following: Mail security – screen and process mail, detecting any harmful items before sending out to other state departments Security desk – manage access to facility, including main entrance and gated parking lot and delivery area Building security – coordinator and administrative support for facility safety and various safety programs Back up delivery driver – provides back up to the delivery unit to ensure proper coverage for delivery routes.
Requirements
- At least two (2) years of combined experience in mail sorting, security, and delivery experience.
- A combination of related education and/or combined experience in mail sorting, security, and delivery experience in an occupation related to the work assigned equal to at least two (2) years
- Must have and maintain a valid, unrestricted Colorado Driver's License
