• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Must have at least 5 years’ experience in work that directly relates to the above position description.
• Must have the ability to gain and maintain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Support shop fabrication and infield activities.
• Support fabrication of electronics equipment.
• Support assembly of mechanical structures.
• Support field installation of mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Provide post-install support.
• Install, maintain, and repair products such as equipment, integrated systems and subsystems, and software at client and/or field locations.
• Instruct customers in equipment operation.
• Provide technical assistance.
• Perform preventative maintenance.
• Troubleshoot equipment for malfunctions.
• Perform installation tasks such as running conduit and cable.
• Install and connect trays, racks, and electronic hardware systems.
• Connect and test new and retrofit construction of audio/visual, computer server, network, and telecommunications equipment.
• Install, upgrade, and remove products ensuring coordinated engineering field changes.
• Assemble, install, and configure systems and equipment in accordance with site assessments and schematics.
• Complete system programming and optimization.
• Complete final commissioning and integrated acceptance testing of electrical systems and associated equipment.
• Ensure the commissioning and final acceptance of critical path equipment is conducted to clients requirements and in accordance with applicable industry standards (API, ABS, DNV, etc.).
• Perform routine system maintenance and analysis functions, including hardware configurations and adding, removing, and replacing equipment components.
• Provide on-site end-user training on system operation, maintenance, and limited troubleshooting.
• Travel frequently to customer sites.
• Read and Red Line Electrical Schematics.
• Read and Red line Mechanical Assembly / Sub-Assemblies drawings.
• Assemble and wire custom equipment.
• Test and verify equipment.
• Run conduit and pull wire.
• Terminate wire in the field.
• Work closely in a team setting with other technicians and engineers.
