A Driver- CDL (B) is responsible for safely operating a collection truck, providing prompt, courteous, and complete waste removal services for customers. This role involves ensuring the vehicle complies with Company safety standards before operation, adhering to all Company, state, and federal regulations while operating the vehicle, and completing daily vehicle condition reports (VCRs) to ensure timely repairs of any defects. Key duties include performing pre- and post-operation inspections, safely operating a heavy truck along designated routes to disposal sites, operating manual and/or automatic controls for lifting and loading refuse and compacting, and disposing of collected material. The driver must courteously interact with customers and dispatchers, identify unsatisfactory waste containers, monitor waste for unacceptable materials, clean accidental spills, and continuously monitor the vehicle's condition to minimize downtime. The position also requires completing route/productivity sheets and other reports, maintaining productivity standards, following safety policies, and actively participating in the Company’s ReSOP program.
