About The Position

Requirements

• Previous experience as a dispatcher, towing dispatcher, roadside assistance dispatcher, logistics coordinator, or similar role is preferred.
• Experience in the towing, roadside assistance, transportation, logistics, or automotive industry is a strong advantage.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong multitasking and organizational abilities.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Comfortable communicating with customers who may be stressed or dealing with vehicle emergencies.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to learn dispatch and GPS software quickly.
• Ability to accurately enter and maintain information in dispatch systems.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently while also coordinating effectively with drivers and management.
• Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work scheduled shifts.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience with Towbook, Omadi, AUTURA, Samsara, GPS/dispatch platforms, or similar systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Receive and coordinate incoming towing and roadside assistance service requests.
• Dispatch tow truck drivers and roadside technicians based on location, availability, vehicle type, and job requirements.
• Communicate with customers to confirm service details, location, vehicle information, and estimated arrival times.
• Maintain constant communication with drivers throughout active service calls.
• Monitor and update the status of dispatched jobs from assignment through completion.
• Prioritize emergency, time-sensitive, and high-priority service requests.
• Use GPS, dispatch software, maps, and other tools to identify driver locations and determine efficient assignments.
• Coordinate multiple calls and drivers simultaneously while maintaining accuracy.
• Handle customer inquiries, updates, delays, and service-related concerns professionally.
• Document all calls, dispatches, driver activity, customer information, and job details accurately.
• Verify pricing, service details, payment information, and authorization when required.
• Coordinate with insurance companies, motor clubs, dealerships, repair shops, law enforcement, and other third parties when necessary.
• Follow up with drivers regarding delayed, cancelled, or incomplete jobs.
• Escalate customer complaints, safety concerns, or operational issues to management when necessary.
• Ensure all dispatch and customer records are complete and accurate.
• Maintain a professional and courteous attitude when dealing with customers, drivers, and business partners.
• Perform other dispatch and administrative duties as assigned.
