About The Position
The Custodian maintains sanitation in and around company facilities according to company standards. The position works one of two listed shifts: first shift, Sunday through Thursday, 5:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.; or second shift, Tuesday through Saturday, 2 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. The role includes cleaning facilities, maintaining grounds and sanitation systems, moving furniture, and preparing required reports and records. The custodian reports safety problems to the shift supervisor and performs other duties as instructed by the Operations Manager.
Requirements
- Attention to detail.
- Good communication skills.
- Previous experience required.
Responsibilities
- Clean the terminal using hand brooms, power scrubbers, sweepers, and vacuum cleaners to meet company standards.
- Remove refuse daily from offices, restrooms, break rooms, and the building; ensure trash cans are empty and clean.
- Ensure restrooms are stocked with necessary supplies.
- Relocate, move, and adjust office furniture as necessary.
- Ensure pest control systems operate efficiently and maintain a high degree of sanitation and housekeeping.
- Remove ice and snow from pedestrian walkways and parking lots.
- Keep company grounds free from litter and debris.
- Prepare company-required reports on labor and equipment.
- Maintain a log of repair history by type of equipment.
- Prepare complete and accurate records and reports as required.
- Report safety problems to the shift supervisor.
- Comply with OSHA and MSDS standards.
- Perform other duties as instructed by the Operations Manager.
