About The Position

Stauffers of Kissel Hill is hiring a part-time Custodian for its Lititz Pike Fresh Foods location. The position requires weekday evening availability from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday availability between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. The company is local and family owned, values teamwork, respect, integrity, commitment, and service, and offers on-the-job training and leadership classes. The role helps maintain store cleanliness, equipment, and security during non-business hours.

Requirements

Able to lift 25–50 lbs.
At least 16 years old.
Available weekday evenings from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Sundays between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Responsibilities

Check vendors into the store upon arrival and out when leaving.
Check that the bakery oven is on for bakery use, if applicable.
Clean and replenish restrooms and lunchrooms with related supplies.
Empty trash containers throughout the store.
Escort employees to the parking area during non-business hours as needed.
Maintain related equipment and supplies.
Help keep the store locked and secure during non-business hours.
Monitor refrigeration equipment and contact appropriate personnel if it malfunctions.
Notify management when major repairs are needed.
Regulate lighting and ensure gates are closed at designated times when closing the store.
Sweep, mop, scrub, strip and re-coat, and buff retail floor space.
