About The Position

Stauffers of Kissel Hill is hiring a part-time Fresh Foods Cashier at its Rohrerestown Road Fresh Foods location. The role requires 2–3 evenings per week, between 2 p.m. and 9 p.m., plus flexible weekend availability. The wage is $14.00 per hour. On-the-job training and leadership classes are provided. Requirements

Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, including adding and subtracting multiple-digit numbers and units of weight and/or American currency.
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
Must be at least 16 years old.

Responsibilities

Bag groceries.
Collect cash, check, or charge payments from customers and make change for cash transactions.
Count money in the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each work shift.
Follow procedures for all processes on register systems.
Gather and stock grocery carts in the prescribed manner, where applicable.
Know Fresh Foods and Home & Garden pricing procedures.
Promote special store events in accordance with company procedures.
Record daily transaction amounts from the cash register to balance the cash drawer.
Record prices and departments, subtotal taxable items, and total purchases on the cash register.
Review weekly sales fliers to stay aware of advertised specials.
May perform Online Shopper duties.
