About The Position

The Custodian is a part-time position at the Lititz Pike Fresh Foods location. The role requires weekday evening availability from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday availability between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. The wage is $16.00 per hour. The custodian maintains store cleanliness, performs floor care, monitors equipment, and helps keep the store secure during non-business hours.

Requirements

Must be at least 16 years old.
Able to lift 25–50 lbs.
Available weekday evenings from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Sundays between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Responsibilities

Check vendors into the store upon arrival and out when leaving.
Check that the bakery oven is on for bakery use, if applicable.
Clean and replenish restrooms and lunchrooms with related supplies.
Empty trash containers throughout the store.
Escort employees to the parking area during non-business hours as needed.
Maintain related equipment and supplies.
Ensure the store is locked and secure during non-business hours.
Monitor refrigeration equipment to ensure proper operation and contact the appropriate personnel in case of malfunctions.
Notify management when major repairs are needed.
Regulate lighting and ensure gates are closed at designated times when closing the store.
Sweep, mop, scrub, strip and re-coat, and buff retail floor space.
