About The Position

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Must be able to complete a three (3) year work history, including periods of unemployment, schooling, and volunteer work.

Nice To Haves

• Previous custodial or janitorial experience.
• Knowledge of safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning of assigned areas, including classrooms, restrooms, offices, and common areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and wax floors.
• Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and floors.
• Empty trash receptacles and replace liners.
• Wash windows and interior glass surfaces.
• Report any maintenance or repair needs to the supervisor.
• Assist with setting up and breaking down furniture for school events.
• Maintain custodial equipment and supplies.
• Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation regulations.
