About The Position

City Mill Custodians help provide a great first impression by maintaining the overall cleanliness of the store. The role includes cleaning and upkeep of the store’s interior and exterior, monitoring for unsafe conditions, maintaining cleaning supplies and restroom dispensers, and caring for landscaping. No experience is necessary; candidates should be dependable, quick learners, and have a positive can-do attitude.

Nice To Haves

Twelve continuous months of professional custodial experience.
Experience working in a hardware or home improvement retail setting.

Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of the store, inside and outside.
Monitor and take appropriate action when items are misplaced, aisles are obstructed, floors are wet, or other unsafe conditions arise.
Disinfect and clean garbage cans and trash cans, and change their bags daily.
Mop washable floors daily, including floors in the break room and bathroom.
Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, tools, and materials.
Refill paper towel, tissue, toilet paper, and hand soap dispensers.
Maintain landscaping by cutting grass, trimming plants and shrubbery, watering as needed, and performing related duties.
Contribute to the team by accomplishing related results as needed.
