About The Position

The Soccer Official is responsible for enforcing i9 Sports rules while cultivating a positive culture, acting as an on-field coach, and advocating for the programs. The role directly affects players, coaches, and spectators on game days. Officials help create a fun, safe, and educational experience by teaching sportsmanship, providing age-appropriate instruction and competition, and delivering strong customer service.

Requirements

• Excellent communication skills.
• Sport-specific officiating, playing, or coaching experience.
• Highly motivated self-starter who can work independently and solve problems.
• Awareness and ability to take charge of situations to ensure player safety.
• Positive attitude and a strong ability to build professional relationships.
• Ability to work weekends for the full duration of the season, approximately seven weeks.
• Must be able to pass a National Criminal Background Check.

Responsibilities

• Understand and enforce i9 Sports rule books to promote fun, learning, and player safety.
• Teach and demonstrate core concepts, including sportsmanship values.
• Keep time and score during games and manage an age-appropriate level of instruction and competition.
• Consistently demonstrate a positive attitude and superior customer service skills.
