About The Position
The Soccer Official is responsible for enforcing i9 Sports rules while cultivating a positive culture, serving as an on-field coach, and advocating for the programs. The role directly affects players, coaches, and spectators on game days. Officials work with children ages 3–6, teach sportsmanship and core concepts, manage game time and score, and help ensure a fun, safe, age-appropriate experience. The role also includes setting up and breaking down the field and providing positive customer service. Season dates are Oct. 24–Dec. 5, Jan. 23–Mar. 6, April–June, and July–September.
Requirements
- Excellent communication skills.
- Sport-specific officiating, playing, or coaching experience.
- Highly motivated self-starter who can work independently and solve problems.
- Awareness and ability to take charge of situations to ensure player safety.
- Positive attitude and strong ability to build professional relationships.
- Ability to work weekends for the full duration of the season, approximately seven weeks.
- Must pass a National Criminal Background Check.

- Understand and enforce i9 Sports rule books to promote fun, learning, and safety for all players.
- Teach and demonstrate core concepts, including sportsmanship values.
- Keep time and score during games and manage age-appropriate instruction and competition.
- Demonstrate a positive attitude and superior customer service skills.
