About The Position

The Official is responsible for enforcing i9 Sports rules while cultivating a positive culture, acting as an on-field coach, and advocating for the programs. The role directly affects players, coaches, and spectators on game days. Officials help ensure games are fun, educational, and safe, and provide an age-appropriate level of instruction and competition.

i9 Sports offers youth sports leagues, camps, and clinics for children ages 3–14. Its focus is on fun, safety, convenience, and good sportsmanship.

Requirements

• Excellent communication skills.
• Sport-specific officiating, playing, or coaching experience.
• Highly motivated self-starter who can work independently and solve problems.
• Awareness and ability to take charge of situations to ensure player safety.
• Positive attitude and a strong ability to build professional relationships.
• Ability to work weekends for the full duration of the season, approximately seven weeks.
• Must be able to pass a National Criminal Background Check.

Responsibilities

• Understand and enforce the i9 Sports rule books to ensure a fun, educational, and safe experience for all players.
• Teach and demonstrate core concepts, including sportsmanship values.
• Keep time and score during games, and manage an age-appropriate level of instruction and competition.
• Consistently demonstrate a positive attitude and superior customer service skills.
