About The Position
The Sports Coordinator enhances the i9 Sports Experience for players and coaches by building relationships with players, parents, and coaches and ensuring the instructional aspects of the program are delivered. The role involves observing, assessing, and assisting coaches, with hands-on participation in practices and games across age groups and skill levels. The coordinator oversees the designated sport on game days and helps create a safe, positive, fun environment.
Requirements
- Excellent communication skills.
- Sport-specific coaching experience and knowledge.
- Highly motivated self-starter able to work independently and solve problems.
- Awareness and ability to take charge of situations to ensure player safety.
- Positive attitude and strong ability to build professional relationships.
- Ability to work weekends for the full duration of the season, approximately seven weeks.
- Must be able to pass a National Criminal Background Check.
Responsibilities
- Empower volunteer coaches to lead practice sessions focused on fundamentals, skill development, and fun.
- Teach and demonstrate core concepts, including sportsmanship values.
- Supervise the overall operation of the designated sport on game day.
- Consistently demonstrate a positive attitude and superior customer service skills.
- Set up and break down the field.
