About The Position

The Sports Coordinator enhances the i9 Sports experience for players and coaches by building relationships with players, parents, and coaches and ensuring that instructional aspects of the program are delivered. The role involves observing, assessing, and assisting coaches, with hands-on participation in practices and games across groups and skill levels. The coordinator supervises the designated sport’s game-day operation and helps provide a fun, safe, and sportsmanlike youth sports experience.

Requirements

• Excellent communication skills.
• Sport-specific coaching experience and knowledge.
• Highly motivated self-starter able to work independently and solve problems.
• Awareness and ability to take charge of any situation to ensure the safety of players.
• Positive attitude and strong ability to build professional relationships.
• Ability to work weekends for the full duration of the season, approximately seven weeks.

Responsibilities

• Empower volunteer coaches to lead practice sessions focused on fundamentals, skill development, and fun.
• Teach and demonstrate core concepts, including sportsmanship values.
• Supervise the overall operation of the designated sport on game day.
• Observe, assess, and assist coaches.
• Build relationships with players, parents, and coaches.
• Provide hands-on involvement in practices and games across groups and skill levels.
• Consistently demonstrate a positive attitude and superior customer service skills.
• Take charge of situations as needed to ensure player safety.
