About The Position

Responsible for the overall cleanliness of all areas of the facility to ensure a positive member experience. The Cleaner thoroughly cleans and sanitizes locker rooms, fitness equipment, and the gym floor; stocks locker rooms with paper products; reports broken amenities or equipment to the Club Manager, Manager in Training, or Team Lead; and promptly turns in lost member property according to the company’s lost and found policy. The role requires customer service, active listening, problem-solving, and tactful interactions with customers, coworkers, and the public. The posting identifies the position as full-time and part-time and lists compensation of $15.20 per hour.

Requirements

Honesty and a good work ethic.
Ability to stand and walk for at least 75% of the shift.
Ability to reach and feel with hands, fingers, and arms for at least 75% of the shift.
Ability to climb, balance, kneel, and crouch for less than 20% of the shift.
Ability to talk with members and staff for less than 30% of the shift.
Ability to lift over 100 pounds for less than 20% of the shift.
May encounter toxic chemicals for less than 30% of the shift.

Responsibilities

Thoroughly clean and sanitize locker rooms, fitness equipment, and the gym floor.
Stock locker rooms with proper paper products.
Report broken amenities or equipment, such as toilets, showers, hair dryers, or gym equipment, to the Club Manager, Manager in Training, or Team Lead.
Immediately turn lost member property in to the Club Manager, Manager in Training, or Team Lead according to the lost and found policy.
Provide customer service that exceeds customers’ wants and needs.
Listen actively, empathize with customers, and work together to solve problems.
Recognize and define problems, analyze relevant information, consider alternative solutions, and seek additional assistance when needed.
Demonstrate tact and skill in interactions using appropriate behavior and language.
