About The Position

The Custodian performs daily cleaning and housekeeping duties at Store #25 in Weatherford, Texas. Work includes cleaning floors, restrooms, windows, parking lots, production and dock areas, dumpster areas, and check stands, as well as carrying out additional housekeeping duties as directed by the Retail Operations Manager or Assistant Retail Operations Manager. The role also helps customers carry out items such as furniture and mattresses and removes empty clothing racks, totes, barrels, and boxes to designated areas within the facility. The position requires a variety of cleaning tasks, including dry and wet mopping, wall and glass cleaning, restroom sanitation, waste removal, and floor-care procedures using vacuum cleaners and buffers. Employees must be able to work throughout the facility and remain standing for prolonged periods.

Requirements

Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions and perform routine, repetitive duties.
Visual acuity to detect cleanliness.
Neat appearance.
Ability to communicate clearly with customers and other Team Members.
Ability to walk, stoop, stand, reach 6 feet or reach with a ladder, pull, push, and lift 50 pounds; some heavier lifting is required with assistance.
Good physical stamina and ability to lift and carry furniture and mattresses.
Ability to stand for prolonged periods and sufficient mobility to work throughout the entire facility.
Documentation to satisfy I-9 requirements.
Ability to pass a physical, drug screen, and background check.
Employees under 18 years of age may not operate hazardous equipment, including compactors, balers, augers, tippers, or forklifts of any kind.
