About The Position

The Custodian ensures a clean and safe environment for residents, visitors, and staff by performing a variety of housekeeping and maintenance duties. The role includes cleaning resident rooms, common areas, and facility grounds while adhering to safety, infection control, and operational guidelines. This is a per diem, as-needed position with no guarantee of hours.

Requirements

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and sanitation standards.
• Ability to operate and maintain housekeeping equipment safely and effectively.
• Physical stamina to walk, bend, reach, push, pull, and frequently lift up to 60 lbs.
• Ability to work independently and contribute to a team environment.
• Good communication skills and ability to interact courteously with residents, staff, and visitors.
• Flexibility to handle multiple responsibilities and respond to changing priorities.
• Knowledge of safety procedures, infection control practices, and proper use of cleaning chemicals.
