About The Position

HES is hiring General Cleaners in Grayslake, Illinois, to maintain the cleanliness and daily upkeep of assigned facility areas. The role involves performing a range of custodial tasks and other duties as directed by the custodial supervisor or their designated representative. The schedule is described as flexible and second shift; the posting also identifies the position as full-time and notes weekends and summers.

Requirements

Excellent work history.

Physical ability to work efficiently with attention to detail.
Reliable transportation.
Ability to reach, bend, stoop, wipe, push, and pull.
Ability to frequently lift, push, pull, or carry objects up to 25 pounds and occasionally handle objects up to 50 pounds.
Ability to walk and stand extensively for the duration of the shift.
Sufficient mobility to perform assigned tasks within company production and service time frames.
Ability to work in temperatures ranging from hot to cold.
Offer is contingent on background check, drug test, and fingerprinting; candidates will also go through the E-Verify process.

Nice To Haves

High school degree preferred, but not required.
Previous cleaning experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Maintain the cleanliness and daily upkeep of all assigned areas.
Sweep, dust, dust mop, damp mop, vacuum, and extract carpet.
Strip and wax floors.
Remove trash and recycling.
Clean and sanitize restrooms and locker rooms.
Polish outside areas within 10 feet of entryways.
Wash windows.
Remove snow and ice.
Clean desks, walls, furniture, doors, entry glass, interior glass, countertops, chalkboards, whiteboards, blinds, and light fixtures.
Perform other duties as directed by the custodial supervisor or their designated representative.
