Custodian - Weekend
About The Position
Verde Clean is hiring a Custodian to help maintain clean, safe, and welcoming facilities. The role includes cleaning and disinfecting floors, surfaces, and restrooms; replenishing restroom supplies; identifying and reporting safety hazards; and providing courteous assistance to staff, visitors, and team members. The listed schedule is Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 6 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.; a morning shift is also available. Pay is $17 per hour. The position involves continuous movement throughout a shift, work on varied surfaces and in multi-floor facilities, and exposure to changing temperatures, humidity, cleaning chemicals, dust, odors, and allergens. Employees are expected to follow safety procedures, PPE requirements, and hydration guidelines. Requirements
- Dependable, detail-oriented, and a team player.
- Ability to use cleaning equipment and knowledge of safety protocols.
- Ability to work independently and interact courteously with others.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move continuously throughout a shift on varied surfaces, and climb stairs as needed.
- Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 25 pounds unassisted, and up to 35 pounds infrequently.
- Ability to push and maneuver loaded janitorial carts, trash receptacles, and supply carts weighing up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 35 pounds infrequently.
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, squat, and reach overhead up to 8 feet using a step stool or ladder; repeatedly twist and extend arms and shoulders.
- Ability to repeatedly grip, squeeze, and manipulate cleaning tools and equipment controls; sufficient manual dexterity to operate floor buffers, auto scrubbers, wet/dry vacuums, and steam cleaners.
- Ability to identify areas needing cleaning, inspect surfaces, read product labels and safety data sheets, and distinguish colors sufficiently to sort waste streams and identify chemical products.
- Ability to work in varying temperatures, outdoor areas, and high-humidity areas, and tolerate exposure to cleaning chemicals, dust, odors, and allergens while following PPE and safety protocols.
- Ability to maintain consistent physical output throughout the shift with standard rest breaks.
- Ability to tolerate and work safely in high-temperature environments during summer months while following safety procedures and hydration guidelines.

- At least one year of janitorial or cleaning experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors.
- Wipe down desks, tables, counters, and other surfaces.
- Clean and disinfect restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, and floors.
- Restock restroom essentials such as toilet paper, soap, and paper towels, fill dispensers, and monitor facility supplies.
- Identify safety hazards and report them to the supervisor.
- Help maintain a secure and safe environment for building occupants.
- Provide courteous assistance to staff, visitors, and fellow team members.
