About The Position

Requirements

• Experience coaching youth and/or collegiate teams
• Advanced understanding/experience of Track and Field, Cross Country, and Long-distance running
• Able to manage both administrative and coaching aspects of the position in a timely and organized manner
• Able to develop/teach concepts such as teamwork, healthy lifestyles, sportsmanship
• Possess a demonstrated track record of propelling students’ understanding and love of sport
• A bachelor’s degree before your first day of work with Success Academy (a background in education is not required)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Passion for learning and commitment to student development
• Ability to work in person in New York City

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with K-12 grades in a school setting
• Have a drive to ensure that joyful, rigorous instruction is delivered to every scholar, every day
• Ability to become part of the school community and build relationships with key stakeholders and all constituents

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with coaches across the network to build a world-class athletics program
• Inspire a love for sport and encourage critical thinking through rigorous instruction
• Coordinate and lead family meetings
• Receive routine, ongoing feedback and support from an outstanding leadership team and faculty
