About The Position
We are currently hiring an Accounts Payable Specialist at our Executive Office in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. We invite you to join our team of talented, caring professionals that take pride in serving the veterans of Tennessee. As an organization we are passionate about creating an outstanding workplace for our employees. The Accounts Payable Specialist will manage outgoing payments, process invoices, travel claims, and ensure accuracy with financial records and reconcile vendor statements. The Accounts Payable Specialist will assist in Month End Closing and Vendor Management as well. This position reports to the Assistant Director of Finance and will also work closely with facility Administrators and executive management.
Requirements
- Knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Working knowledge of Accounting ERP
- Strong Attention to detail
- Sharp analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Experience with Statement Reconciliation
- Great organizational and communication skills
- Minimum High School Diploma
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance or business-related field preferred
Responsibilities
- Manage outgoing payments
