The Bilingual Nutrition Educator is a remote/hybrid position that will play a vital role in supporting the health and nutrition goals of low-income families and individuals in Lane County. By delivering nutrition education to individuals and groups in Spanish or English, the Bilingual Nutrition Educator will help participants learn to prepare nutritious meals, maximize food resources, and access local food assistance programs. The ideal candidate will be fluent in Spanish and English and have a passion for nutrition education, experience engaging community members one on one and in groups, and the flexibility to tailor educational content to individual needs. This role may work remotely from a private space, with periodic in-person activities at FFLC offices and community sites in and around Eugene, Oregon. Some local travel in and around Eugene, OR and Lane County using a personal vehicle may be required. This position is funded through September 2027. Continuation will depend on community demand and funding availability. A work-issued laptop computer will be provided. Community Health Worker certification (or the willingness to obtain it) is preferred. FFLC will cover the cost of the CHW training and certification if needed. We encourage applicants who have a passion for nutrition and are fluent in Spanish to apply, regardless of CHW certification.
